Who We Are

We are a team of engineers and researchers working at the intersection of machine learning, engineering, and human-centered design. Life of Mine was founded by Sushil Bohara and Nelson Jurado, whose backgrounds span computational neuroscience, structural engineering, and large-scale optimization.

Sushil is a Ph.D. student in the Georgia Tech–Emory Biomedical Engineering program, where he applies machine learning and signal processing to understand how the brain encodes behavior. Nelson is a Ph.D. student in Structural Engineering at UC San Diego, focusing on AI-driven design and optimization, with prior experience developing engineering tools in industry.

Our collaboration began after the COVID-19 pandemic, when we saw how disrupted routines impacted student well-being. Since then, we’ve worked to build a platform that uses intelligent systems to support behavior change in a more personalized and meaningful way. Our work has been recognized at Stanford’s health{hacks}, where we placed second in the mental health track.

We are joined by Lizbeth Cordova Lopez, a researcher in psychology and education at the University of Notre Dame. Her work in resilience and trauma-informed care, along with experience in labs such as CARE and BRAVE, ensures our platform is grounded in evidence-based, inclusive, and human-centered design. She also leads our user experience and outreach, helping create a platform that is both scientifically rigorous and genuinely welcoming.

Sushil Bohara

Co-Founder

As a cofounder of Life of Mine, Sushil focuses on turning ideas into reality. With a background in computational neuroscience, machine learning, and signal processing, he helps shape the intelligence behind the platform, translating how the brain encodes behavior into systems that support meaningful change.

Lizbeth Cordova Lopez

Social Media and Communications Director

As the social media and communications director for Life of Mine, Lizbeth leverages her background in psychology and education to craft the brand’s digital narrative. Through strategic storytelling and community engagement, she manages communications and creative content, fostering authentic connections that ensure our mission resonates deeply with its audience.

Vision

Our vision is for Life Of Mine to become an accessible support platform that empowers individuals to pursue meaningful goals, break unhelpful habits, and build healthier lifestyles through structured motivation and visualization of progress. We aim to help users see personal growth as an evolving journey, where small, consistent actions shape larger life outcomes across areas such as health, productivity, learning, and relationships.

One of our primary goals is to expand access to students and young adults who often experience high levels of pressure, uncertainty, and disruption during key life transitions. We plan to partner with universities and educational institutions to provide free access to our platform so that any student who wants support with goal setting, habit formation, and personal development can benefit from the system.

Another goal is to develop evidence-informed tools that support behavior change. By combining interactive design with behavioral science principles, Life Of Mine aims to help users stay engaged with their goals, recover from setbacks, and maintain long-term consistency. We will evaluate success through engagement metrics, behavioral indicators within the platform, and voluntary user feedback to ensure the system meaningfully improves motivation and well-being.

Mission

Life Of Mine exists to help people build their real lives, not escape them. We empower individuals to understand themselves, simulate their future, and take control of their lives by transforming everyday decisions into a system they can explore, learn from, and improve. We reject the idea that success should only exist in a virtual space. We believe games can restore meaning, agency, and dignity by reflecting real-world growth instead of replacing it. If the user’s real life improves, the game should flourish.
